Roze Koek Cup 2022

Dear Rood en Witters,

After the overwhelming success of the inaugural Roze Koek Cup which was won by the Driehuis Dreamers, the second edition of the ROZE KOEK CUP is back!

To refresh our old memories, the Roze Koek Cup is:

·       Played by 4 mixed teams from the club

·       Consists of a semi-competition and a final day

·       All matches are a T20.

·       Games will be played on Friday evenings depending on availability of fields and competition schedule.

·       First games will be held on 22 April.

A team consists of 13- 15 members.  All playing senior members (members of First, Second, Dames, Vets, Zomi, Zami, Youth and Halfway Trophy team) participate. Non-playing members (not non-paying members) are also welcome to participate.

There are 4 Team Owners, Alex de la Mar [RW Royals], Gerard de Graff [Baron Busters], Johan Scholvinck [Jojo Jazz] and Joseph Arunachalam [Driehuis Dreamers]. All the Team Owners receive a fictitious budget. With this fictitious budget they can purchase players at an auction and make up their team.

In total there will be 4 match days. On the first 3 days, the teams play a half competition and a match is played simultaneously on field 1 and 2. On the last day there are four matches; first two cross finals will be played and finally a match for 1st place and a match for 3rd place simultaneously.
